A good investment

I decided yesterday that a backyard wading pool was just what I need. If Jonah is going to drag me outside ALL DAY LONG in the 100+ degree heat, then I'm going to sit in the shade with my feet in the cool water with a glass of iced tea.

This little gem just happened to be on sale at the Wally-Mart this morning, and the extra bells and whistles have earned me an hour and a half of contented toddler time. In my mind, the pool just paid for itself in peace (not quiet, though)...

First, I want to say I feel your pain and understand your jealousy over the fact that I only have THREE DAYS LEFT!!!!!!! WOO HOO! (I'm so mean to gloat. But I just hacked my pregnancy cough that has accompanied every single pregnancy, and I now have spit on my computer screen if that makes you feel any better. I'm not quite sure why it would, but I'm putting it out there for you.)

Secondly, I also have been tempted to air up the ridiculous contraption we bought last year. It is a pool big enough for at least 3 toddlers to move around without being too crowded. It's a giant pirate ship. The only thing I hate is changing the water constantly so that mosquitos and other nasty things don't congregate there. It's almost impossible to drain it. If you have any secrets to dealing with that kind of thing, please clue me in!

Cool pool, by the way!
