Suckers!

How do you make 2 children hold relatively still in the same frame long enough to get a non-blurry photo? Suckers!!!

According to Jonah, Part 32

Jonah watched Sid the Science Kid this morning. The episode about immunizations.

Later this afternoon, he walked up to me with his toy thermometer, pretended it was a syringe and gave me a shot in the arm.

He noticed that the thermometer was reading 0.00, and informed me that I have "emptybodies".

For those of you who don't speak Jonah-language, I believe he was referring to antibodies.

Jonah's Valentine

Jonah and I spent all of Gracie's naptime putting together valentine's for his classmates.

I loved this time with him. It gave me a chance to tap into his feelings about each classmate. I asked him which valentine each student should get, and what he liked about each person. He thoughtfully selected each valentine and then dictated a short personalized message for each card.

There were certain friends he wanted to compliment on their cool shirts, or their silly faces that make him laugh, and others he wanted to thank for smiling at him, or playing tag with him.

Then there was a special friend. Cassie. Whom he has betrothed himself to, and apparently needs THREE valentines. And extra stickers.

Gabbin' with Gracie

I'm such a dork. I actually studied Gracie's pronunciations carefully so I could document them phonetically. 18 month old jibber-jabber is probably my favorite toddler stage!

Gracie: A doo-ah doo-ah doo-ah diggum.
Mama: A doo-ah doo-ah doo-ah diggum?!
Gracie: Yeah! Zee-ah schlimba ziggat!
Mama: Really?!
Gracie: Yeah! A dill-ah dat!
Mama: I didn't know that! Wow!
Gracie: Yeah! Schligga schlimba. Uh-shoola, shooo.
Mama: A shooo? Really?!
Gracie: Yeah! Yeah!

The Wonderfullest

The Phoenix Children's Museum is a wonderful place. Marmee and Grandpa are wonderful for gifting us admission for several visits. It's also wonderful that Gracie is big enough to enjoy some of the same attractions as Jonah :)

It is further wonderful that Meemaw lets us drag her along so that we CAN go our separate ways and enjoy things geared toward different ages.
