Evlyn: 2 months

Baby Evlyn weighed 9 lbs, 7 oz at her 2 month check up! That's 17th percentile! Hooray! Her height was 22 inches (37%), and head circumference was 15 inches (34%).

She's holding her weight up with her legs this week, and has been less like a bobble-head for a while now. Lots of smiles and she's really starting to talk to us. We love it!

Jonah is SEVEN

Meemaw and Papaw hosted Jonah's birthday party again this year, and it was awesome! They are finally in their new house, and Jonah was so proud to show it off. We decorated with a Star Wars Lego theme :)

This was the first time Jonah's family from both sides (besides the grands) have been at his birthday party...Meemaw, Papaw, Aunt Angie and Uncle Jeff. Plus, Rhonda, Perrilou, Mamaw, Aunt Sandra and Uncle Don. Marmee and Grandpa, Aunt Christel and Uncle Jamie, the Rowdy Girls, and Aunt Kaki! So much fun!

Meemaw served hotdogs with all the fixins and cake of course (!), and Marmee and Grandpa brought watermelon and grape "sabers". Nom nom nom.

Jonah came home with SOOOO many Legos - and we're okay with that! It means hours and hours of quiet for Mama. Woot!

Happy birthday, Little Man. You're not so little anymore!

Baby Evlyn: 6 Weeks Old

 At 6 weeks, Evlyn is 8.4 lbs, 21.25 inches long! Project "Fatten Baby Up" worked! Hooray!

She started cooing for us last week, and smiles whenever I say, "I love you". She's a precious gift!

Turning Four

We had Gracie's 4th birthday party with a mermaid theme (sort-of). 

It was mostly just a relaxed family party ;)

 Special guests from Lubbock: Nana, Tracie, Ross, Brandon, and Sierra. Plus the RG crew, Aunt Kaki, and Nannie! Marmee and Grandpa were our lovely hosts.

Gracie had dramatic reactions to all her gifts - huge gasps, hands to cheeks, and high-pitched squeals over mermaids, gymnastics leotards, her Merida doll and costume, a Hello Kitty bank, an art set, and adorable outfits.

When it was all over, she played hard with her new toys, then passed out at 6:45. Sweet dreams, my big girl...

Something Special

Something special happened the day Evlyn was born. My little man grew up. He became more helpful, focused, and patient. He started showing love freely and generously.
