Knee High

Earlier this evening, Michael was bending over to help Gracie stand up and I noticed she was exactly knee-high. I had to take a quick photo because I know that won't last long. These pictures of her with Michael are sweet to me because you can still see how tiny she is...

Portrait of a Weekend

We had a pretty low-key family weekend...just playing with trucks and Nannie Blankets. Those are some of my favorite weekends, though, and I thought these photos captured the moment well.

The latest on Gracie

Gracie's been fake-laughing lately. I can tell she's testing out what will make people smile or laugh at her. She really feeds off of other's reactions. It makes for a charming baby. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us later!

ALSO...last night Gracie figured out how to army crawl. I think it might turn in to a regular crawl over the weekend. We'll see!

No shrinking violet

The other day, I walked into the kitchen to get Jonah a juice box. I left Gracie on the floor in the living room with him briefly. Not a second later, I heard Jonah screaming like a little girl. I ran to see what was the matter and found Gracie, with a death grip on Jonah's hair, pinning his head to the floor. SHE was grinning and laughing.

Glitter & Glow

Since we've been in Arizona, the Glendale Glitter and Glow has become a fun tradition. Once a year, at the end of the holiday season, historic downtown Glendale shuts down traffic and surrenders it's streets to hot air balloons, bands, food vendors, blow up slides, bouncy houses, and lots, lots, LOTS of pedestrians. It's the last night for the city's Christmas lights to be on. We enjoy ourselves every time we go. The bands are fantastic, the balloons are magical, we stuff ourselves full of kettle corn, and I can never pass up the chance to buy a glow-in-the-dark necklace. (Mine's still in the freezer).
