Back to School - 2nd Grade

This morning, my Facebook newsfeed was full of adorable back-to-school pictures. Kids holding signs saying what grade they were about to start, dressed up with excited smiles.

Here's OUR back-to-school photo. PHOTO. That's singular. 'Cause there's just one.

The drama was not about school. It was about what he was WEARING to school. And just for the record: we carefully prepared him for his school clothes. He helped pick them out.

They just didn't feel right in the morning when he put them on, and he wanted to change everything right before he opened the door to leave...which was not going to happen.

Oh well. He still had a great first day of 2nd grade, even though it wasn't a good start.
