At 12 months old, Evlyn is WALKING. She decided to do it differently than her siblings. They took off walking and never looked back. She preferred to take 5 or 6 steps for a few weeks, then on May 22nd made it across the room several times - so we're counting that as the day she started walking - even though she'd kind of prefer to crawl. It's faster.
She's still screaming....but, also giving hugs to stuffed animals, dogs, and occasionally, people. When she hugs, she'll pat and saw "awww" at the same time. Completely adorable.
She absolutely has a "thing" about people touching her face. She looooves soft tickles on her neck and head, but do NOT touch her face. You will get slapped by those dimpled chubby hands.
Her walking gets better every day. She's very patient about it all, practicing carefully but diligently.
I don't want to forget all the sticky cheeks I've wiped (which she hates), or the 3 teeth she has on the bottom and 1 and 1/2 teeth she has on the top (which involves lots of drool).
