Summer of the Swim

At the end of May, Jonah could not swim. He could wear floaties and play in the water, but not swim.

I was determined that this would be the summer for Jonah to gain confidence and finally get his swim on.

So we got in the water everyday during the second week in June. By the end of the week, the kid was swimming. I couldn't believe it.

He went from doing cannon balls off the side of the pool while holding his nose, to just lowering himself under the water while holding his nose, to lowering himself under the water and blowing bubbles out his nose, to full on swimming. After that, he just watched other kids and mimicked them.

The pool is infinitely more fun now! So proud of this kid!

How wonderful for you and him! I am hoping J.T. can find the same confidence as we start swimming lessons today!
